Holliday does well to create identification with a protagonist in way over his head like Tom Cruise in The Firm.

Production Notes

Holliday began writing this film during the end of 2020 as a film that could be made during the Covid-19 pandemic. He shot a proof-of-concept in fall of that year before diving into the feature screenplay.

As soon as Holliday was legally able to open a business bank account when he was 18, he began producing the film as the youngest SAG-AFTRA signatory producer on record. With no family or industry connections he got talent such as Bart Johnson, David Payton, and James Fahselt attached.

The spread-out production shot in Tampa, FL, along the Natchez Trace Parkway in Tupelo, MS, and interiors in downtown Los Angeles. None of the actors interacted with the others during production and even shot on separate days. Holliday set his personal record of script pages shot in a day by shooting 28 pages of dialogue on the last day of shooting in LA.

Holliday did post over his freshman year of college where he collaborated with students at the Zaki Gordon Cinematic Arts Center to finish it up.

It released digitally on Prime Video on April Fools Day to kick off the unconventional marketing campaign that consisted of quizzes, flyers, on-the-street conversations, and reaction videos, all centered around the tagline, “Are you smart enough to understand this movie?”
