Created as a “cycle film” (read: practice film) as a group project at the Zaki Gordon Cinematic Arts Center, Holliday wrote this short as a proof of concept for a grounded sci-fi film about a technology that can amplify and decipher sound waves from years past to learn about history or steal secrets.
Produced by Ethan Bruner, the highlight of this short is the experimental third act that takes place almost entirely in darkness with a black screen. The main actor in this short (Ben Hosler) also served as the VFX Producer for Holliday’s feature The Company Called Glitch (2024).
